Prayer

Let Us Pray

“This is the confidence that we have toward Him, that if we ask anything according to His will He hears us. And if we know that He hears us in whatever we ask, we know that we have the requests we have asked of Him.” —1 John 5:14-15

God works through the prayers of His people. At LFOW we believe that nothing is impossible for God, and nothing is impossible for those who believe. Help us cover Love Feeds OUR World in prayer by committing to pray 15 minutes a week for the needs of our ministry.

Prayer Requests for ministry & leadership:

  • For vision, direction, and clarity for Love Feeds OUR World and our leaders as we seek to hear His voice and do His will; we have been asking the Lord for His “blue prints” for this ministry.
  • For more churches, ministries, organizations, and individuals to come along side us and work with us to met the needs of the poor.
  • For the finances to do the work of the Kingdom. As we grow, we ask for more individuals, families, and churches who will join us in taking the gospel of Jesus Christ to the world.
  • Pray that we would have enough finances to feed and educate our children each month.
  • Pray for the finances to build Shilo high school. We have the land purchased the land, but need the finances to build.
  • For protection and covering for our board of directors and ministry volunteers.
  • For more intercessors who will stand with us in prayer on a continual basis as we prayfor His will to be done in Haiti and at Love Feeds OUR World.

Prayer Requests for Haiti:

“Speak up for those who cannot speak for themselves, for the rights of all who are destitute. Speak up and judge fairly; defend the rights of the poor and needy.” — Proverbs 31:8-9

  • Pray for those in authority in the nation of Haiti. The Bible tells us to pray for our leaders. No country can be free without quality leadership. Haiti needs those in Parliament who will “do justice, love mercy, and walk humbly with our God” (Micah 6:8).
  • Pray for the police department, the American Embassy, etc. Pray for a deep conviction to do justice, love mercy, and walk humbly with our God. They have very dangerous jobs taking on this gang violence. Pray for protection for them and their families.
  • Pray for an end to the violence and brutality. Currently gangs have taken over more than 80% of the nation’s capital and surrounding areas.
  • Pray for the salvation of the lost (gang members, government officials, the police officers, and the common working class).  It is only a true relationship with Jesus, that will change hearts and lives. Jesus loves the Haitian people, and desires that each and every soul would come to Him to find life
  • For the Kingdom values in this nation and for those everyday men and women willing to stand up for what’s right and lead the way.
  • For the next generation of young people to take their place in government, education, business and society, and take back their nation for themselves and their families and to care about all people.
  • Pray for role models for the youth. Strong and compassionate men and women who will teach these young people how to live meaningful lives without constant anger, violence, etc. The young ones need to see examples of quality leaders. The children and teenagers of today will lead this nation tomorrow.
  • For our high school at Shilo. We need to build; it is getting too expensive to send so many children to other local high schools. This school year 2023-2024 we still need scholarships for many of our high school students.
  • For our property would be protected from robbers, esp. at night. There has been an increase of thievery in our little community as robbers are becoming more brazen and more desperate.
  • That our children would once again feel safe playing with their friends and going about the community; that fear, anxiety, and stress over the simple trips to the market or school would end.
  • For safety for trips to the bank and market, which are now more dangerous; we pay people to watch our backs so we are not robbed when we go into the larger cities like Leogane for food and school supplies.
  • For food, gas, and basic necessities to care for our children/youth and their families; prices have skyrocketed, and it’s much harder for our community to feed themselves and for us to feed all those in need. We need resources and miraculous provision each month to meet the needs of Macomb and the surrounding villages.
  • For families to stay together rather than selling their children into domestic servitude, hard labor, or give their children over to orphanages. While these may sound like options for families with many children that they cannot feed, many of these places are dangerous, violent, and lie to families in need about what is really happening to their children.
  • Pastor Jackson and Martha Colas… they are our Haitian leaders who organize and minister daily to our students and their families; they needs strength, wisdom, and help; they need Him to guide them and direct their steps and shield them from evil.
  • For Godly staff who hear from the Lord and are trustworthy to lead our children’s ministry and work on our grounds as teachers, cooks, caretakers, medical staff and more.
  • Haiti has a history of witchcraft, Voodoo, and other forms of the occult. Pray that the power of these demonic strongholds would be broken in the lives of the people and for the nation to humble themselves and turn from this wickedness.
  • For the generational curses of Voodoo to be broken off the youth and children, and that they would be free from this evil legacy and find hope and healing in Jesus Christ.
  • Even today, satanic rituals are done in the parliament. Pig’s blood is drank by a newly elected President in honor of their Satanic and Voodoo heritage. This heritage has destroyed this nation. Pray that goodness and righteousness would shift the hearts of those in power and that they would be convicted of their sin.
  • For the protection for our children. We have seen Haitian children with scars from being burned in satanic ceremonies. Animal sacrifice and the burning of children is common practice in some of these rituals. Pray that the lie that has been spread that Voodoo is a beautiful aspect of Haitian culture would be exposed for the evil it is and that our children would be saved.
  • Pray prayers of thanksgiving, that in the midst of all this violence and evil, the work of the Lord will not be stopped.

Prayer Requests for our Prison Ministry:

The Spirit of the Sovereign Lord is on me, because the LORD has anointed me to proclaim good news to the poor. He has sent me to bind up the brokenhearted, and to proclaim freedom for the captives and release from darkness the prisoners,” – Isaiah 61:1

  • For incarcerated men, women, and youth to know the love of Jesus. Since October of 2021 we have baptized approximately 170 women at Taycheedah; these are mostly brand new believers. Pray for them to continue to grow in their relationship with the Lord.
  • For healing from trauma; it is believed that over 75% of women in the prison system have been raped and/or molested as children and youth. It is only Jesus that can bring lasting freedom to this kind of pain.
  • For the children of the incarcerated. These kids are hurting. They miss their parents, and they need role models who will show them the love of Christ and what it means to grow up healthy and end the cycle of abuse.
  • For freedom from drug addiction, self-hatred, and other forms of self-abuse. Jesus is the healer, comforter, protector, provider, and so much more. It is in His love that a hope and future is found.

Thank you for being part of our team, and for all your prayers.
